Liceo de Davao’s Technical–Vocational–Livelihood (TVL) Track is designed, under the Department of Education’s K–12 framework, to equip learners with job-ready competencies and national certifications that pave the way for immediate employment, entrepreneurship, or continued skills development. By focusing on competency-based training aligned with TESDA standards, the TVL Track transforms the classroom into a laboratory of practical learning. Program Overview
The Wellness Massage NC II course is a 160-hour TESDA-accredited program that trains students in therapeutic massage techniques, anatomy and physiology, and client care protocols. Emphasizing a holistic approach to health, learners master Swedish, Shiatsu, and sports massage methods alongside relaxation and remedial applications. The curriculum integrates professional ethics and communication skills, ensuring graduates deliver wellness services that respect cultural diversity and client safety.

- Fundamentals of Wellness Massage
Introduction to massage tools, anatomy of the musculoskeletal system, and workplace safety. Students learn proper body mechanics and hygiene standards. - Relaxation Massage Techniques
Hands-on instruction in effleurage, petrissage, and tapotement strokes designed to relieve stress and promote relaxation. - Remedial and Sports Massage
Advanced modules focusing on deep tissue, trigger point therapy, and injury-prevention techniques for athletes and active clients. - Client Consultation and Care Planning
Training in health history intake, session planning, contraindications, and post-massage care advice, fostering trust and personalized service. - Salon Operations and Professionalism
Workshop on appointment management, record-keeping, inventory control, and service marketing to develop entrepreneurial and management skills.
TESDA Partnership & Certification
In collaboration with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Liceo de Davao ensures quality-assured instruction and assessment. Upon completing the program, students undertake the TESDA Competency Assessment. Successful candidates earn the National Certificate II in Wellness Massage, a credential recognized by spas, wellness centers, hotels, and healthcare facilities nationwide—and valid for overseas employment. This partnership guarantees our graduates meet rigorous industry benchmarks.
Learning Environment & Practicum
Our Briz Campus houses a dedicated Wellness Massage Laboratory equipped with massage tables, essential oils, and therapeutic tools. Small class sizes allow for personalized coaching and peer feedback. Students also participate in supervised practicum placements at partner spas, resorts, and community health events—applying their skills in real-world settings and building professional networks.
Career Pathways & Outcomes
Graduates of Wellness Massage NC II can pursue roles as licensed massage therapists, spa attendants, wellness coaches, or mobile service providers. Many alumni launch micro-enterprises—from home-based wellness studios to on-site corporate massage services—leveraging Liceo’s entrepreneurship workshops.
